How to forgive your Ex

Many people know the saying patience is a virtue. Well, wise people believe forgiveness is the key to understanding. Understanding gifted as knowledge or insight.

Based on that alone, how does one go about forgiving their Ex?

Welp, there are many step by step methods documented on the internet that lowers a person’s level of held in resentments. This one is about journaling (something I do with this blog). While this one is about connecting to community based groups.

So don’t mind if I share my poetry on the subject 😏. Because reading this out loud a few times may help you too.

Not choosing me had its consequences

I suffered at the hands of loss and grief all over again

I held on to your words so tight that I couldn’t hear my own thoughts

My voice was gone

Thankful, with time and securities

I’m reminded that I am

More than what you loss

Or try this simple one.

My voice was gone

You did my wrong

Now get up and go

You don’t own me no more

Recite these and create your own mantra. That way you’ll learn to empower yourself. ❤️

  1. I think forgiveness is a heart issue. It doesn’t look the same for everyone.
When it comes to forgiving your “Ex”, I really feel you have to also forgive yourself for being with them. But, one thing I wanted to say…. I don’t believe in forgive & forget… especially when wisdom is all about remembering and learning from your mistakes.
